The society on the Moon is a libertarians wet dream. Life on the Moon is tough and what little they are able to produce mostly gets shipped backed to Earth for free. The inhabitants of the Moon are all descendants of exiled criminal from Earth. Basically the Moon is like outer-space Australia. The book is basically about a revolution on the Moon against the Earth. There aren't any big surprises in this book but mild spoilers below and larger spoilers will be in the spoiler thingies. And I think there were a ton of funny one liners that I would have totally missed had I read it instead of listened to it. This mostly has been positive but there have been a few recent reads that get a lot of love here that I didn't like. This is basically the theme of the last 12 months or so of reading for me: I expect an author or a book to be one thing, but I'm completely and totally wrong. I was hesitant to start this one because I thought it would be too dry and boring. I listened to this book a few weeks ago on audible and really enjoyed it.
